Raise funds for the center by recycling!!!

The SPCA Wildlife Care Center has recently partnered with Cartridges for Kids. You can eliminate toxins in our landfills by safely disposing of computer printer cartridges and cell phones. The program involves recycling and re-use of printer cartridges and cell phones. By participating, you can help the SPCA Wildlife Care Center in one of two ways.

As an individual, place your cartridges or cell phones in prepaid mailing envelopes and drop them in the mailbox. Each envelope holds four or five Inkjet cartridges or cell phones. Once they are received by Cartridges for Kids, SPCA Wildlife Care Center will receive funds for your efforts. (Call 954 524-7154 or email Ethel for envelopes)

As a business, simply place the cartridges (inkjets or laser), used cell phones, laptops, pda’s or ipods in a box for shipping. Contact Cartridges for Kids for a prepaid shipping label at 800 420-0235 or email them at contact@cartridgesforkids.com. Be sure to include our code on the return address. You may also drop off the cartridges at our Center.

Our code is WCC503C

When you shop on line, The SPCA Wildlife Care Center benefits. Simply use the links and choose the Center as your charity and the on line company will donate a percentage of your purchase.

Estate Planning and Planned Giving

A bequest to the SPCA Wildlife Care Center is a wonderful way to express your love for wildlife and the environment, a part of your legacy to the world. Planning your estate will allow you to preserve family wealth and generate personal income all while ensuring that South Florida’s fragile wildlife is preserved for years to come.

With proper planning, you can leave money to your family and to the SPCA Wildlife Care Center. Your financial advisor (a financial planner, lawyer or accountant) can help you establish your gift.

REMEMBER, even a small amount can have a large impact over time. Your gift, large or small, can make a difference well into the future.

What are planned gifts? Planned gifts include gifts through your will, charitable gift annuities, insurance policies, pooled income funds, and charitable trusts.

Bequest
Many of our supporters make charitable gifts by naming the SPCA Wildlife Care Center as a beneficiary in their wills.

You can use these words to make a bequest through your will:
I give, devise, and bequeath to S.P.C.A. Wildlife Care Center, 3200 S.W. 4th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33315, the sum of: $___________ (or describe the real or personal property or portion of the estate) to be used for its general purposes.

Life Income Gift
You irrevocably transfer some assets to the SPCA Wildlife Care Center now, and in return, you (and a survivor, if you wish) receive income for life.

Gift of Life Insurance Policies
Some of our supporters no longer need life insurance policies that were purchased years ago to provide for children or other family members, and donate the policy to the SPCA Wildlife Care Center. Or, make us a beneficiary of your current and future policies.

Pooled Income Fund
Your gift of money, marketable securities, or both is invested together with similar gifts from other supporters.

Charitable Lead Trust
Individuals with very large estates can use a charitable lead trust to benefit the SPCA Wildlife Care Center and pass principal to family members with little or no tax penalty.

Gifts of Retirement Plans
Your IRA assets will be transferred to a charitable remainder trust; the trust will provide life income to the beneficiary, and then an eventual gift to the SPCA Wildlife Care Center.
